Livestream AMA Recap: Recent CanvasLand Project Updates - Featuring Andrew Tay (CEO) and Zen Fong (Head of Crypto)

We’ve had a blast hosting our very first video AMA session with our Telegram community members and we’d like to thank everyone who participated — be it via submitting questions on the Twitter thread or by tuning in to our livestream!

CanvasLand’s CEO, Andrew Tay and Head of Crypto, Zen Fong were also glad to be able to address some of your questions directly.

If you missed out, not to worry! Here’s our Highlights clip of the event. 😁

It was hard for us to choose our favourite questions from all the questions we’ve gotten… but here are a few we’d love to highlight, for the benefit of those who are new to our project.

Q: What will the metaverse be developed on? unity or unreal or will you guys develop your own game engine? What are your development plans for the rest of 2022? — @JinHerms

A: That’s a fantastic question! Just a bit of background and introduction of the CanvasLand city metaverse: CanvasLand’s vision is to be the ‘preferred Metaverse City of the future’ governed by its community and citizens via a DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) system, we aims to create a beautiful virtual city that merges the experiences of both the physical and virtual realm — bringing users a safe, creative and

inspiring virtual space to create content, trade virtual assets in the form of NFTs, explore and socialise. A virtual Metaverse experience that brings users a chance to be free from challenges of regular daily lives.

We are currently exploring the Unreal engine but our devs are in discussions on our final direction with this. Please be assured we will keep our community in the loop of all our development plans and milestones.

Q: What are your plans with getting more artists or collections for the marketplace? i saw it and it still looks very early stage — @lional_t

A: We are indeed still in early stages of our project, but we are planning a major revamp that’s scheduled to be released in May 2022 — we can’t wait for you all to see and experience our new Marketplace for yourselves!

With the right talent and vision, we certainly believe we will attract the right artistes. The NFT collections on CanvasLand will only get better as we truly emphasize high-quality artworks and pieces.

If you are an artist and looking to collaborate with us, we are all ears and we would love to see how we can work together and also promote your pieces and vision as an artist on a more personal level on our social channels.

Q: How much is CanvasLand planning to raise on the token sale? will you be hiring more developers to build the metaverse? — @ChrisXan234

A: Our public sale raise target is around $1.5milion. We do have plans to hire more developers, animators and 3D modellers to build the CanvasLand metaverse and bring our vision to life, especially after our fundraising rounds are completed.

With that said, we also want to highlight that we have already built our team and funds have been invested at this stage to grow the project in stages and milestones — even before our public fundraising round.

We are very excited to have you be a part of our journey. Please stay tuned for our upcoming announcements regarding our Public Sale!
